Having appeared in the second series of Dragons' Den, Doug is the founder and Chairman of Library House and a successful entrepreneur with 20 years' experience in the development and leadership of technology and software ventures, both in the US and in the UK.

A Desire to Return to the UK-UC Speed-Networking Afternoon in London! Saturday 1 March 2008

Speed Networking GroupJoin the University of California Trust (UK) and various UC alumni for a dynamic and interactive afternoon about the possibilities of returning to the United Kingdom after your year or term abroad! Through this “speed-networking” event, learn about: Graduate study in the UK - Working in the UK (for up to 6 months) on a BUNAC visa - How to get a job and business networking - British sport and social culture.

This is a great opportunity to hear directly from UC alumni with first-hand experience about how to go about returning to the UK after your studies at UC are finished. If you are eager to come back after your experience here so far, this event is not to be missed!

Pub Night – The Traffic Wednesday 6 February 2008

Continue the buzz of Super Tuesday, make friends and renew acquaintances, California-style at The Traffic Bar (nearest tube Holborn) from 7.30-9.30pm on Wednesday 6 February.

This evening will also be a farewell evening for Grant Schlereth, who has been very active in the UC alumni group here for several years. There will be a collection on the night for those of you who would like to contribute, for the Schlereth – Lord Fund for Engineering Students at UC Davis. This fund will support students from Davis who need financial support to study Engineering at Imperial College and the University of Bristol. If you have not attended one of our pub nights before, they are always a lot of fun! Friends, and partners are welcome.
