Keynote Address: Ann Callison, UC Los Angeles

Ann Callison is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley who has been at the forefront of the Firm's major transformations for the past decade, including the post-2008 regulatory transformation and the current wave of automation through robotic and cognitive technologies.

Ann is currently the Business Engagement Lead for Morgan Stanley's Agile Transformation and also Head of Strategic Initiatives for Operations sponsoring innovation in approach such as design thinking, as well as new technologies like machine learning and natural language processing.

Ann is a Board Director of the non-profit Business Council for Peace, promoting entrepreneurship and job creation, with a particular focus on women, in historically violent regions of the world. 

Ann earned a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles and an M.B.A from New York University in Management and Organisational Behaviour.

Donor Speaker: Richard Simmons CBE, UC Berkeley Haas

A former Senior Partner of Arthur Andersen, Richard served as adviser to a number of Government ministers between 1979 and 1997. He was co-founder and non-executive director of the Cranfield Information Technology Institute.

He is a Director of BPP University where he was Chairman from 2010 to April 2018.

He is Chairman of Inclusive Learning and Skill Boosters Limited and Chairman of Risk Mosaic. He is a Trustee of the Foundation for Social and Economic Thinking. He was awarded the CBE in June 1995 for political and public service. 

He obtained his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 1972.

Scholarship Student Speaker: Jenna Roth, UC Santa Barbaraonor

Originally from Danville, California, Jenna Roth is a junior from UC Santa Barbara studying abroad at King’s College London for the 2018-2019 school year.  She is a recipient of the UC Santa Barbara UK EAP Fund Scholarship and the UCSB English EAP Scholarship.

Jenna will graduate in Fall 2019 with a BA in English with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

During her year abroad she has visited many other countries, and after graduating she hopes to teach English abroad to continue her international experience.
