Co-President, Tim Ilchene, UC Davis
Tim is on the UC UK Alumni Association Board for Scotland and is responsible for organizing events throughout the region. Tim graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics in 2019 from the University of California, Davis and has worked with the UC Alumni Program since 2021. He currently works as a Data Engineer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Co-President, Mhari London, UC San Diego
Mhairi is from Oakland, California and studied Cognitive Science at UCSD. She first moved to Edinburgh in 2015 for a year-long study abroad. She fell in love with the city and Scottish culture, and was lucky enough to be able to come back from a second year abroad in 2018. She then moved to Glasgow to complete a Masters program in Neuroscience. She is now working as a Teaching Assistant at University of Glasgow, but lives back in Edinburgh.
Co-President, Dahlia Valle Peterson, UC San Diego
Dahlia Valle-Peterson graduated from UCSD in 2006 with a double major in History and Critical Gender Studies. She went on to receive a Master's in Women's Studies from San Diego State University in 2009. That same year, she began teaching American History and Women and Gender Studies at several colleges and universities in the New York City area. After teaching for nearly 10 years, Dahlia relocated to Scotland for a change and she has been there for 4 years. Dahlia now works as an English tutor and is working on a diploma in Professional Software Development. She lives with her husband, 2-year-old daughter, and 10-year-old dog in West Lothian.
